PLA’s autumn victories

People’s Liberation Army and its allies seized control of Maw Taung, a border town in Tenasserim region, on 14 November after four days of fierce fighting.

Despite the regime’s non-stop air strikes, revolutionary forces took control of all outposts, including Maw Taung No-Retreat Defensive Post around 11.00 am on 14 November.

Some junta soldiers fled to Thailand but forty surrendered. The coalition forces captured fifteen enemy soldiers and seized several small arms, artillery and ammunitions.

Maw Taung is located on a crucial Myanmar-Thailand trade route and linked to Rangoon-Moulmein-Tavoy-Kawthaung motorway.

On November 10, the KNLA, KPLA, BPLA, PLA, and the People’s Defence Organisation of Tenasserim region began a joint offensive, with the PLA’s role for disrupting the enemy’s supply lines and logistics.

On the evening of 12 November, another PLA unit raided a security outpost in Ottara Thiri township near Nay Pyi Taw, the fascit regime’s capital.

As soon as PLA stormed the enemy’s watch towers and bunkers, enemy soldiers fled and abandoned their camp. On the second day, PLA cleared the entire camp and seized some ammunitions, equipment, and cash.

On 8 September, PLA and its allies ambushed a joint patrol of fascist army and Pyu Saw Htee militia near Kanbalu in Sagaing region. The fighting started around 7.45 am and seven enemy soldiers were confirmed dead.

Kanbalu mobile unit, Ye-U People’s Defence Organisation, Taze People’s Defence Organisation joined the PLA in this ambush.
